CASIBARI JAZZ FESTIVAL – SEPT 20&21, 2019

Good things come in small packages…

The renowned and widely spread Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival (CSJF) that took place for 12 consecutive years, will not take place this year. But because they couldn’t bear to have it passed, the organization decided to go ahead and do a different type of festival anyway with another name and a different location.

On September 20 and 21, the two-day Casibari Jazz Festival (CJF) will premiere and is expected to become a festival to remember, not in the least because of the amazing location. The Casibari rock formation is a heritage site and its location is quite unique with a cozy local feel. This is an ideal backdrop for a reinvented music festival where Jazz, Blues and Latin music will fill the sultry night air with smooth rhythms.

Indispensable ingredients of the CSJF will of course also be part of the CJF, like the food court and the artisan market. These will give creatives and multiple restaurateurs the opportunity to cater to a hungry, curious and music loving festival crowd.

Aside from the two festival days, CJF will also go on a school tour to awaken and cultivate music appreciation amongst our youth. This will always be an important element of the festival to fulfill its social and cultural goals.

Having been a big platform for local bands, this tradition will continue without a doubt..
Confirmed Aruban acts are: Ará Caribbean Jazz Sextet, Oruba with Reno Steba and Robert JeanD’or who will accompany the great multi-instrumentalist and composer Tony Succar. Other international acts that will be welcomed by CJF are Tania Kross (NL) singing together with Randal Corsen (CUR) & Friends, Count Tutu with Michael Bremo (USA) and Antonio Bello (SP).
Long time festival fans who bombarded the CJF organization for a follow-up will not be disappointed.

This new festival is made possible by old friends like Unoca, Aruba Airport Authorities, Divi Resorts, Balashi, De Palm Tours, Super Food, Setar, CMB, Renaissance, High Performance, Hertz, Interprint, AFAS, Cas di Cultura, ADCTRA, Aruba Port Authorities, Divi Tamarijn Aruba all-inclusive and new friends like Puro fairtrade coffee.

Entrance tickets are available at Casibari Café , Super Food or online (casibarifestival.com) as of August 26 and are US$ 25 per evening.

We look forward to seeing you have a one of a kind festival experience on September 20 and 21, 2019 at Casibari Jazz Festival!!
